What fun a couple of hours can be when spent with the award-winning
luminary of cabaret and jazz ANNE HAMPTON CALLAWAY! And what a way
to conclude a celebrated season of Lincoln Center's popular AMERICAN
SONGBOOK series. Lucky audience members will have three opportunities
to revel in the glow of a lady with a sensational voice and the amazing
ability to improvise music at her will. The first, "Master Class,"
spotlights ten students in various genres of music as Callaway critiques their
performances. The ten most requested songs (via e-mail ballot of advance
ticket buyers) will be featured in "Request Night." Amidst music and chat,
stars from Broadway, cabaret, and pop music will offer up musical delights in
"The Callaway Hour." As a special treat, Callaway will write a song on the spot
for each of her guests. A WEEKEND WITH ANNE HAMPTON CALLAWAY is a fine example
of what New York City is all about and a must for any music lover.
